EMDR

"Healing doesn’t mean the damage never existed. It means the damage no longer controls our lives." – Unknown

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an extensively researched therapy proven to treat trauma and distressing memories. It helps reprocess painful memories so you can move forward without being held back by the past.

How EMDR Works:

EMDR uses bilateral stimulation (usually through eye movements) to activate opposite sides of the brain. This process mimics REM sleep, helping the brain naturally reprocess trapped memories and resume normal information processing. Originally developed for PTSD, EMDR has proven effective in treating:

  • Panic attacks
  • Phobias
  • Addictions
  • Stress reduction
  • Personality disorders
  • And more

If you feel like past experiences are holding you back, EMDR might be the right approach to release what no longer serves you. Reach out to schedule an appointment.
